Special Education

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • We have 4 units that provide specialized education for children with various learning difficulties, especially those who face difficulties in keeping up with the demands of mainstream program and/or environment.

  • Our Special Education Department provides education to meet the individual needs of our students. We recognize individual differences and needs and that flexible learning program should be developed to cater individual needs.

  • We implement a combination of mainstreaming and “learning in the special class” method of provision which allows us to modify the environment so that we can cater students’ individual needs. This method of provision also allows students to learn in a more structured environment as well as to give students a chance to learn in mainstreaming classes whenever possible with the purpose of achieving higher levels of functioning, achievement, and independence.
